Nagpur Division of Central Railway conducted an intensive massive ticket checking drive on 11th November 2025, covering 22 trains across various sections of the division. The drive was aimed at curbing ticketless and irregular travel and ensuring that all passengers travel with proper and valid tickets.
A total of 80 ticket checking staff, assisted by 07 Commercial Inspectors and 07 Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel, participated in the operation. The checking teams worked in close coordination under the supervision of commercial officers to ensure maximum coverage and effective enforcement.
During the drive, 1059 cases of ticketless or irregular travel were detected, resulting in a total earning of ₹7,08,055/- through penalty and fare recovery. On average, each ticket checking staff earned ₹8,850.69 from 13.24 cases per head, reflecting the efficiency and commitment of the teams involved.
Such surprise and coordinated checks are conducted regularly by the Nagpur Division to ensure compliance with railway travel rules, promote discipline among passengers, and enhance revenue. The division continues to appeal to passengers to travel with proper tickets and extend cooperation to railway staff in maintaining fair and efficient operations.
