In a scheduled annual post-monsoon maintenance exercise, operations at the Mumbai International Airport will come to a complete halt for six hours on November 20. The Adani Group, which manages the facility, will conduct the inspection and upkeep work.
Both cross runways — 09/27 and 14/32 — will remain fully closed from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., as indicated in a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued in advance.
The temporary shutdown is expected to impact a large number of flights. While there is no official update yet on possible schedule changes for the Nagpur–Mumbai route, travellers have been advised to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
At present, Air India and IndiGo operate services between Nagpur and Mumbai. The 12:55 p.m. IndiGo flight from Nagpur to Mumbai on November 20 is likely to be cancelled or revised due to the runway closure.
