Nagpur: A shocking murder in broad daylight rattled the State’s Second Capital on Saturday, amplifying concerns over rising crime just weeks before the Maharashtra Winter Session begins in December. The incident has intensified scrutiny on law and order in the city.
Around 2:15 pm, an unidentified man was stabbed to death by an armed assailant in Yashodharanagar. Police reached the scene within minutes and sent the body for post-mortem. The victim’s identity is yet to be established.
Yashodharanagar Police Inspector Ramesh Khune and DCP Zone 5 Niketan Kadam inspected the spot and instructed teams to launch a parallel technical and ground-level investigation to trace the killer.
The brutal attack created panic and sensation in the locality, leaving residents alarmed over escalating violent crimes in the run-up to the high-profile legislative session.
