A noticeable drop in night temperatures has been recorded across the Vidarbha region, with several districts reporting cooler-than-normal conditions. According to observations from November 15 and 16, minimum temperatures dipped significantly at many locations, signalling the onset of early winter conditions.
Nagpur and Gondia emerged as the coldest spots in the region, with minimum temperatures falling to 10.8°C and 9.6°C, respectively. Both cities recorded departures of –5.7°C (Nagpur) and –6.5°C (Gondia) from normal, indicating a sharp cooling trend.
Most other districts, including Akola (12.6°C), Amravati (12.5°C), Buldana (13.3°C), Chandrapur (13.6°C) and Gadchiroli (12.2°C), also reported below-normal minimum temperatures ranging between 12°C and 14°C. Brahmapuri stood slightly warmer at 14°C but still showed a minor drop from usual levels.
Day temperatures, meanwhile, remained largely stable across Vidarbha, hovering between 28°C and 31°C, showing only marginal changes over the last 24 hours.
The relative humidity levels varied widely, with morning readings as high as 83% in Gondia and 78% in Bhandara, while Yavatmal recorded the lowest evening humidity at 41%.
With minimum temperatures steadily dipping and departures widening, the region is expected to experience cooler mornings in the coming days as winter begins to set in.
