Nagpur’s Road No. 28 (near Hotel Amir) in Ward No. 19, stretching from Bhavsar Chowk to Nanga Putla up to Trinanaal Chowk, will see traffic restrictions due to ongoing cement-concrete road construction.
The left side of the road has been closed to traffic, with vehicles now being diverted to the right. The restriction will remain in place until 9th December, according to an order issued by Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Dr. Abhijeet Chaudhary. Diversion signage has been installed on both sides of the road to guide commuters.
The order mandates that contractors display boards at the work site indicating the start and expected completion dates, along with their contact details. Alternative routes have been designated, with traffic safety personnel and volunteers stationed at key points to ensure smooth vehicle movement.
Authorities have also instructed that construction materials such as soil, gravel, and paver blocks should not obstruct traffic. Potholes along the route must be promptly repaired and the road restored through cementing or asphalting. LED boards and barricade lighting will be used to guide drivers at night.
Residents and office-goers along the route are advised to follow the diversion signs and traffic police instructions. The municipal authorities have assured that necessary arrangements will be in place to minimize inconvenience during the construction period.
