Alumni from India and abroad to participate
The Alumni Association (LITAA) of Lakshminarayan Innovation Technological University is organising the Global Alumni Meet ‘Udaan 2025–26’ on December 20 and 21, 2025.
Alumni and current students who have enhanced LIT’s reputation across various fields in India and abroad will be participating in the meet.
Based on the central theme “Connecting Dreams, Igniting Success,” the inaugural ceremony of ‘Udaan 25–26’ will take place on December 20 at 10.00 am with a floral tribute to Late Rao Bahadur D. Lakshminarayan at the main building of LIT University.
This will be followed by a series of events across the university campus. In the evening, at 6.00 pm, a cultural programme for alumni will be held at Persistent Systems, IT Park.
On December 21 at 6.30 pm, the ‘Jewel of LIT’ and ‘Youth Icon’ award ceremony will be organised at Persistent Hall, IT Park, in the presence of Chief Minister and Patron of LIT University, Devendra Fadnavis.
Minister for Higher and Technical Education Chandrakant Patil, Chairman of Solar Group of Industries Satyanarayan Nuwal, and Chairman of the Board of Governance of LIT University, Padma Shri Dr. Ganapati Yadav will also be present as chief guests. Earlier in the day, at 11.00 am, alumni from the Silver Jubilee and Golden Jubilee batches will be felicitated at the university auditorium.
Established in 1942 in Nagpur, LIT has produced more than 10,000 chemical engineers and technologists to date.
Many LIT alumni hold senior management positions in leading Indian industries as well as multinational corporate organisations worldwide. At present, the LIT Alumni Association (LITAA) has nearly 3,000 active members.
The organisers, including LITAA President Madhav Labhe, Secretary Utkarsh Khopkar, Chief Advisor to the University Mohan Pande, and LITAA Patron and Vice-Chancellor of LIT University Dr. Atul Vaidya, have appealed to all alumni and current students to participate in large numbers.
