Nagpur experienced a cool start to the day on Tuesday, with the minimum temperature settling at 9.6°C, nearly unchanged from the previous day but 2.4 degrees below normal, indicating a continued winter chill. The maximum temperature stood at 28.4°C, slightly higher by 0.8 degrees, though still 1 degree below normal. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 63 per cent, while no rainfall was reported in the past 24 hours. Visibility in the city during the morning hours ranged between 2 and 4 kilometres, suggesting light haze conditions.
Across the Vidarbha region, temperatures remained largely stable, with day temperatures hovering between 28°C and 31°C, and night temperatures dipping to single digits in some areas. Gondia recorded one of the lowest minimum temperatures at 8.6°C, followed by Nagpur at 9.6°C and Yavatmal at 10°C, reflecting colder nights across eastern Vidarbha.
Cities such as Akola (30.1°C), Amravati (31.2°C) and Brahmapuri (30.5°C) reported relatively warmer daytime temperatures, while Chandrapur and Wardha saw maximums close to 30°C. Morning humidity levels remained high in several districts, touching 84 per cent in Akola, 87 per cent in Amravati, and 83 per cent in Wardha, contributing to mild haze in parts of the region. Visibility was particularly reduced in Gondia and Wardha, where it dropped to 1–2 kilometres.
No rainfall was recorded anywhere in Vidarbha during the last 24 hours. Meteorological officials indicated that dry weather conditions are likely to persist, with cool mornings and mild afternoons expected to continue over the next few days. Residents, especially in rural and low-lying areas, may continue to experience cold nights and early morning haze.
