To ensure that the counting of votes for elections to 27 municipal councils and nagar panchayats in Nagpur district is conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner, all liquor sale licenses in the concerned areas will remain closed for the entire day on the counting day, December 21.
The liquor sale ban will be enforced within the jurisdictions of the municipal councils of Buttibori, Digdoh, Kalmeshwar (Brahmani), Kamthi, Katol, Khapa, Mohapa, Narkhed, Ramtek, Saoner, Umred, Wanadongri, Kanhan-Pipri, Mowad and Wadi, as well as the nagar panchayats of Kandri Kanhan, Bahadura, Besa-Pipla, Bhiwapur, Kondhali, Mahadula, Mouda, Neeldoh, Parshivni, Bidgaon (Tarodi Khurd–Pandhurna), Godhani Railway and Yerkheda.
As per the orders, all approved and operational wholesale and retail liquor outlets holding licenses under various categories, including CL-2, CL-3, CL/FL/TOD-3, Form E, Form E-2, FL-1, FL-2, FL-3 (including all star hotels), FL-4, FL/BR-2, FLW-2 and TD-1, will remain closed on the vote counting day.
The administration has warned that strict action will be taken as per the rules against anyone found violating the order.
