The Lakadganj police have registered a case against Zishan Siddiqui, who operates the so-called NGP Janta Foundation, and his associate Shahbaz Khan, following serious allegations of extortion, criminal intimidation and harassment of a city-based family.
The FIR has been lodged on the complaint of Ahmed Khan Muzaffar Khan (26), a resident under the Yashodhara police station jurisdiction. According to the complainant, his family had earlier been engaged in a sawmill business, which was later shut down after suffering heavy financial losses. In 2024, Shahbaz Khan, a relative of the complainant, allegedly joined the business as a partner and arranged a loan of ₹20 lakh in the complainant’s name for business operations.
The complainant stated that the loan amount was repaid through online transactions. However, after the business closed in April 2025 due to losses, Shahbaz allegedly began demanding additional money, claiming that interest on the loan was still outstanding. He allegedly continued to harass the complainant through repeated visits and calls.
As per the police complaint, the situation took a serious turn on September 3, 2025, when the complainant’s family was staying at a relative’s house in the Satranjipura area, which falls under Lakadganj police limits. In the absence of the complainant, Shahbaz Khan and Zishan Siddiqui allegedly went to the house and abused the complainant’s mother and sister while demanding money.
The FIR further alleges that Zishan Siddiqui attempted to outrage the modesty of the complainant’s sister, issued threats of killing, and warned that a defamatory video would be made viral, accusing the complainant of cheating people. Out of fear, the complainant later paid ₹3 lakh in cash to Siddiqui, after which he was told that the video had been deleted.
Despite the payment, the accused allegedly continued to demand ₹45 lakh as interest and threatened to defame the complainant by circulating the video. The complainant stated that he approached the police after mustering courage. Lakadganj police have registered the offence and are carrying out further investigation.
