Two women from Nagpur have brought pride to the city by excelling at an international beauty pageant held in Sri Lanka, where they represented Nagpur among participants from across India.From nearly 18,000 auditionees nationwide, only 120 finalists were shortlisted to compete at the international venue in Sri Lanka.
Among them were Nagpur’s Architect Meera Misal and wellness expert Tanuka Haldar.Meera Misal, an alumna of NIT and IIT and a design exam coach, won the ‘The Rising Star 2025’ sash along with a special memento at the Mrs India Pride of Nation beauty pageant.
With 16 years of professional experience in design, she has been mentoring aspirants since 2019 for premier institutions such as IITs, NIDs and NIFTs, besides guiding students for international design institutes.Tanuka Haldar, a health coach and wellness leader, secured the ‘Style Icon 2025’ sash and memento.
She is also a recipient of the Global Icon Award 2025, presented by actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra, recognising her outstanding contribution to fitness and wellness. Tanuka has won international honours three times in the USA and is counted among the top 100 health coaches worldwide.
Together, Meera and Tanuka have not only represented Nagpur on an international platform but also inspired many women to chase excellence with confidence, compassion and courage.
