Ahead of the January 15 civic polls, the Maharashtra State Election Commission has made the ‘Matadhikar’ mobile application available to voters to access key election-related information. Through the app, citizens can check their names on the electoral roll, locate polling stations, find booth and room numbers, and view candidate details.
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation administration has urged voters to use the free app, available on the Google Play Store, to avoid confusion on polling day. Voters can search details using either their full name or EPIC number by selecting the relevant district and civic body.
Election officials said the initiative is aimed at ensuring a smooth voting process, particularly for first-time voters and senior citizens, while also boosting voter participation.
