Nagpur Division of Central Railway has once again demonstrated its commitment to passenger safety and security through timely and alert action during routine ticket checking onboard a train.
During ticket checking, a passenger was found travelling without a valid ticket. At the same time, another passenger in the same coach reported the theft of his clothing and cash. Immediate verification and search led to the recovery of the stolen items and cash from the possession of the ticketless passenger.
Swift action was taken by the railway staff, and the matter was promptly reported to the control office. Necessary documentation was completed, and the accused was handed over to the Railway Protection Force (RPF) for further legal action. During subsequent checks, a stolen briefcase belonging to another passenger of the same coach was also recovered from the accused.
The prompt and vigilant action resulted in the successful apprehension of a thief and recovery of passengers’ belongings, reinforcing confidence among passengers in the railway’s security mechanism. Passengers onboard appreciated the alertness and efficiency of the railway staff and expressed their gratitude towards the Railways.
