Mitrangan De-Addiction & Rehabilitation Centre organized a Music Night on Friday evening at its Godhani campus as part of its continued commitment to emotional healing and long-term recovery. The event was held in support of the Operation Tiger Marathon conducted on January 25, an initiative led by Nagpur City Police to promote a drug-free and healthy society.
The programme was graced by Chief Guests Mr. Haresh Kadsekar, Police Inspector, Mankapur Police Station, and Ms. Roshni Tai G. Kolte, BJP Corporator, Godhani, Nagpur. Both addressed the gathering and spoke about the growing concern of addiction, highlighting the importance of awareness, discipline, and community participation in prevention and recovery.

Mr. Haresh Kadsekar explained the objectives of the Operation Tiger Marathon and outlined the active role of Nagpur City Police in spreading awareness against substance abuse. He encouraged individuals undergoing rehabilitation to stay focused, disciplined, and confident throughout their recovery journey.
Ms. Roshni Tai G. Kolte described addiction as a serious social challenge and stressed the need for strong family support, early intervention, and community-level involvement. She appreciated the efforts of Mitrangan De-Addiction & Rehabilitation Centre in helping individuals rebuild their lives with dignity, confidence, and social acceptance.
Delivering the key address, Mr. Kartik Iyer, Project Director and Head of Mitrangan De-Addiction & Rehabilitation Centre, stated that recovery goes far beyond medical treatment alone. He emphasized the importance of emotional stability, structured counseling, and positive initiatives such as music-based programs in sustaining long-term sobriety. He also reaffirmed Mitrangan’s continued support for community-driven initiatives like the Operation Tiger Marathon.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. S. M. Rajan, Director of Central India College of Law, delivered an insightful address on the social and legal dimensions of addiction. He highlighted the responsibility of educational and professional institutions in supporting anti-drug initiatives and promoting ethical, disciplined lifestyles among youth. Dr. Rajan stressed that addiction prevention must be addressed not only through healthcare systems but also through education, awareness of legal consequences, and value-based guidance. He commended Mitrangan’s holistic approach and urged greater collaboration between social, legal, and healthcare institutions to create sustainable impact in the fight against substance abuse.
Mr. Mahesh Khangar, Director of Manavi Multi-Speciality Hospital, highlighted the importance of coordinated medical and psychological care in addiction recovery, emphasizing timely intervention and continuity of treatment for long-term success.
Musical performances by MRK Musical created a positive and uplifting atmosphere for the patients, reinforcing the therapeutic and healing power of music.
Also present were Mr. Saurabh Sharma and Ms. Shehar Sagar, Counselors at Mitrangan De-Addiction & Rehabilitation Centre, who actively support patients through structured counseling and rehabilitation programs.
The event concluded with a strong message of hope and collective responsibility, reflecting Mitrangan’s continued efforts under the leadership of Kartik Iyer to support community initiatives and work toward an addiction-free society.
