The Nagpur Chapter of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) will organise its annual seminar on January 31 at Hotel Centre Point, focusing on the contemporary theme “AI as a Catalyst for the Gen Next CMA.”The day-long seminar will be held from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.
The event aims to shed light on the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of cost and management accountancy, particularly in areas such as strategic finance, business analytics, forecasting and digital capability building for future-ready professionals.
The inaugural session will be attended by senior leaders from public sector undertakings and the media. Notable dignitaries include Vishwanath Suresh, Chairman and Managing Director, MOIL; Vijay Phanshikar, Editor, The Hitavada; Indra Dev Narayan, Chairman and Managing Director, Mineral Exploration & Consultancy Limited (MECL); CMA Bikram Ghosh, Director (Finance), Western Coalfields Limited; Surendra Singh Kshatriya, Director (Finance), MECL; Rakesh Tumane, Director (Finance), MOIL; and CMA Harendra Pandey, Director (Finance), Maha Metro.
The seminar will feature three in-depth technical sessions focusing on the practical and strategic application of AI in finance and management. Topics include AI for Strategic Finance and Business Analytics, historical tracking to AI-driven strategic forecasting, and building digital capability through AI.
The programme is being organised under the leadership of CMA S Rajat Naidu, Chairman; CMA Nitin Alshi, Vice-Chairman; CMA Manish Pandey, Secretary; CMA A K Behera, Treasurer; CMA Anil Verma, Director of Studies; and CMA P S Patil, PD Committee Chairman, along with members of the organising committee of the ICMAI Nagpur Chapter.
