The second day of the Women Entrepreneurs Fair 2026, organised by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) at Reshimbagh Ground, was marked by a lively evening of folk and popular Marathi music.
Held under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana–National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM), the fair aims to provide a dedicated business platform for women’s self-help groups to promote and sell their products.
The programme was attended by corporator Divya Dhurde, Deputy Commissioners Mangesh Khawale and Dr Ranjana Lade, NMC PRO Manish Soni, and entrepreneurs Swati Sanghi and Dhanashree Gandhare.
The Jallosh Band, led by singer Puneet Kushwaha, entertained the audience with a mix of traditional, Marathi and patriotic songs. The performance opened with a traditional Gondhal and featured popular Marathi numbers such as Mala Ved Lagale and Hi Chaal Turu Turu, along with patriotic songs including Teri Mitti and Lehra Do. The band included Ayur Bangaiya, guitarist Rugved Pande, drummer Tejas Ambulkar, tabla player Manish Nilatkar and Mohit Vanshkar.
Praising the initiative, Divya Dhurde said such platforms would help expand the market reach of products made by women’s bachat gats. The fair continues to attract large crowds by combining business opportunities with cultural entertainment at the Reshimbagh venue.
