Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) will provide 518 flats to economically weaker section (EWS) beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0 – Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), with online registration set to begin on February 24 at 3 pm. Mayor Nita Thakre and Municipal Commissioner Dr Abhijit Chaudhari announced that the registration window will remain open until March 31, 2026 (midnight), and allotment will be done through an online computerized draw.
The project will come up at Mouza Nari in North Nagpur, comprising 210 1BHK flats (478 sq ft built-up area) and 308 2BHK flats (619 sq ft built-up area). The Centre has approved the project report under PMAY 2.0. Flats will include reserved units for SC/ST, OBC and persons with disabilities.
The price of a 1BHK flat is ₹15.51 lakh and that of a 2BHK is ₹21.01 lakh. Beneficiaries will receive a ₹2.5 lakh government subsidy, reducing the effective cost to ₹13.01 lakh for 1BHK and ₹18.51 lakh for 2BHK units. Additional charges such as stamp duty, GST and other fees will apply.
Applicants must be residents within NMC limits, should not own a pucca house anywhere in India, and must have an annual family income below ₹3 lakh. Registration details are available on the NMC website.
