Nagpur: President Droupadi Murmu departed for Rajasthan from Nagpur Airport on Thursday, concluding the Nagpur segment of her ongoing four-day tour across Maharashtra, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan.
The President had arrived in Nagpur on Wednesday, February 25 to attend the state-level launch of “Golden Era of Maharashtra through Unity and Trust,” an initiative organised by the Brahma Kumaris. Earlier in the day, she also graced the National Arogya Fair 2026 at Shegaon in Buldhana district, hosted by the Union Ministry of AYUSH.
On the same day, President Murmu travelled from Nagpur to Jamshedpur. During her visit, she performed the Bhoomi Pujan for the proposed Sri Jagannath Temple, an event organised by the Shri Jagannath Spiritual & Cultural Charitable Centre Trust. She also interacted with students at Manipal TATA Medical College, marking an important outreach during her Jharkhand engagements.
Following her return to Nagpur from Jamshedpur, the President proceeded to leave for Rajasthan on Thursday morning.
At Nagpur Airport, several dignitaries were present to bid her farewell, including Governor Acharya Devvrat, Air Marshal Yella Umesh, Major General N. S. Sohal, Municipal Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Bidari, Police Commissioner Ravindra Kumar Singal, District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, and other senior officials.
As per the official itinerary, President Murmu will be in Rajasthan on February 27 to witness Ex Vayushakti, the Indian Air Force’s major firepower demonstration at Pokhran.
Her tour began on February 24 in Mumbai, where she inaugurated the nationwide health initiative “Saving Lives and Building a Healthier Bharat”, organised by PD Hinduja Hospital.
