The makers of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, also known as Dhurandhar 2, have released the trailer of the much-anticipated sequel directed by Aditya Dhar. The film, a follow-up to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar, is set to hit theatres on March 19.
The trailer, unveiled on Saturday, offers a glimpse into the continuation of the storyline from the first instalment. Actor Ranveer Singh reprises his role as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who is seen rising through the ranks in Lyari and moving closer to becoming the next “Lyari ka badshah” (king).
In the original film, Singh’s character was portrayed as an Indian spy who infiltrated a Baloch gang led by Rahman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna. The sequel follows Jaskirat’s efforts to dismantle a terror network from within the gang.
The trailer features high-octane action sequences and is backed by a remixed version of the popular track Ari Ari by Bombay Rockers. It concludes with Jaskirat declaring, “Now India will decide the future of Pakistan.”
Released in theatres on December 5 last year, Dhurandhar emerged as a major box-office success despite receiving mixed reviews from critics. The film reportedly grossed over ₹1,300 crore worldwide during its theatrical run.
Although the film was released only in Hindi and did not screen in Gulf countries due to its subject matter, it still performed strongly at the box office. With strong anticipation building around the sequel, the makers are expecting Dhurandhar 2 to surpass the success of the first film.
