The Government College of Art and Design, also known as Government Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, will inaugurate its 59th Annual Art Exhibition for 2025–26 on March 13 at 5 pm on the college campus in Laxmi Nagar.
The event will also include the college’s annual gathering and the release of its annual magazine ‘Rupanjali’.
Renowned ghazal singer Bhimrao Panchale will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Other distinguished guests expected at the programme include Kishore Ingale, Director of Art, Maharashtra, and Prafulla Kshirsagar, former Dean of the institute. The programme will be presided over by Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Sabale, Dean of the college.
The exhibition is being coordinated by faculty members Prof. Vikas Joshi, Prof. Sanjay Jathar, Prof. Avinash Gharade and Prof. Praful Nayase, with support from student representatives Anurag Mankar and Tejaswini Bhoge.
Following the inauguration, the exhibition will be open to the public from March 14 to March 18, between 11 am and 8 pm, at the college campus in Laxmi Nagar.
