The Nagpur District Administration has urged residents of Nagpur not to believe rumours linking the Gulf conflict to shortages of essential commodities. Authorities said LPG and foodgrain supplies remain stable and advised people to avoid panic buying or crowding at gas agencies, as hoarding could create artificial shortages.
Consumers facing difficulty in obtaining domestic LPG cylinders from dealers have been advised to register complaints through the official customer care helplines of oil marketing companies.
Helpline numbers:
- Bharat Gas: 1800-22-4344
- Indane Gas and HP Gas: 1800-2333-555
Officials said the helplines allow consumers to formally register complaints if dealers fail to provide cylinders despite valid bookings. They also warned that spreading misleading posts about gas shortages to create panic can lead to complaints being filed at the nearest police station.
