In a major anti-trafficking operation, Beltarodi Police in Nagpur uncovered a prostitution racket allegedly operating under the guise of a spa in Manish Nagar. A 28-year-old woman, identified as Sonam Saurabh Adigne, has been arrested in connection with the case.
Acting on specific intelligence, police carried out a well-planned raid at “7-C Wellness Spa” on March 17, 2026, around 5:30 pm. Officials first deployed a decoy customer to verify the suspected illegal activities. Once confirmed, the police team swiftly moved in and conducted the raid, exposing the racket.
During the action, two women were rescued from the premises, including one from Odisha. Preliminary findings suggest that the accused allegedly targeted economically vulnerable women from other states, luring them with financial incentives and coercing them into the flesh trade. The rescued women have been shifted to a secure shelter for care and rehabilitation.
Police recovered ₹5,000 in cash and a mobile phone valued at ₹10,000, bringing the total seizure to ₹15,000.
A case has been registered at Beltarodi Police Station under Crime No. 112/2026, invoking provisions of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, along with relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Investigators are now probing the possibility of a wider network and involvement of additional suspects.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of senior officials, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone), Nagpur City, and the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ajni Division.
The raid was spearheaded by Senior Police Inspector Mukund Kawade, with the support of a dedicated team comprising PSI Rishikesh Kadus, Ravikant Bhadane, PSI Sukanya Chaudhary, API Snehalata Jaybhaye, PSI Nandu Tayade, Anil Ghadge, Achyut Rindhe, Rajendra Mahajan, Vivek Shripad, Sachin Devhare, API Priyanka Ramteke, Vandana Damde, and Vaishali Pudke.
