A major job fraud case has been registered in Nagpur, where six individuals have been booked for allegedly cheating several people of 45.5 lakh by promising permanent teaching jobs in government-aided schools.
The complaint was filed by Farheen Afsha Sheikh (41), a resident of Lashkaribagh, along with her relatives and associates. According to police, the accused falsely claimed they could secure 100% government-aided permanent teaching positions in schools run by a minority educational institution, despite the schools not receiving any government grant.
The accused include founders, office bearers, and school officials linked to institutions in Nagpur and Bhandara districts. They allegedly collected large sums of money from multiple victims over a period of time but failed to provide jobs or salaries, resulting in significant financial losses.
Based on the complaint filed on March 17, 2026, Pachpaoli Police registered a case under sections related to cheating, criminal breach of trust, forgery, use of forged documents, criminal intimidation, and common intention.
Police have urged anyone who may have been similarly deceived with job offers to come forward with relevant documents and assist in the investigation. Further probe is underway.
