The much-awaited second season of Farzi has officially been confirmed, much to the excitement of fans. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, the crime thriller was widely appreciated for its gripping storyline and strong performances in its debut season.
Directed by the duo Raj & DK, the series quickly built a loyal audience, leaving viewers eagerly waiting for its next chapter.
Farzi Season 2 Release Date and Platform
The makers have confirmed that Farzi Season 2 is “coming soon.” Like the first instalment, the new season will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
The announcement was made during Prime Video’s slate event, It All Starts Here, held in Mumbai. While the series is expected to release this year, an official date is yet to be announced.
Reacting to the development, Shahid Kapoor said, “I’ve been waiting to start Season 2 for the last two years, and I’m so excited that it’s finally happening. We’ve already started shooting, and this is one of my favourite characters.”
He further added,“level up”while emphasising that the new season will continue the story in a natural progression.
Farzi Season 2 Plot
Teasing the storyline, Prime Video revealed that the stakes will be even higher this time. “A revenge-obsessed Sunny descends further into darkness, stepping into a much larger game. Michael, cut off from the system but unable to walk away, continues his war on counterfeiting. In this high-stakes roller-coaster ride, both men circle a hidden force capable of shaking India’s financial system.” The upcoming season is expected to dive deeper into Sunny’s journey while intensifying the conflict with Michael.
Trailer and First Look
As the shoot for Farzi Season 2 has only recently begun, the trailer is likely to be released later this year.
Sharing an update from the sets, Shahid Kapoor wrote,
“Sunny days are back!! Farzi-ing away!!”
The makers have also unveiled first-look posters, offering glimpses of Shahid Kapoor’s Sunny and Vijay Sethupathi’s Michael.
Cast and Crew
The series is produced under the banner of D2R Films, with Raj & DK serving as producers. Direction is handled by Raj & DK along with Suman Kumar and Tusshar Seyth, while the writing team includes Raj & DK, Sita Menon, and Suman Kumar.
The ensemble cast features Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Bhuvan Arora, Kay Kay Menon, Zakir Hussain, Raashi Khanna, and Kubbra Sait.
