A major step towards strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Nagpur was marked with the inauguration of the Gangadharrao Fadnavis Memorial Diagnostic Centre at Somalwada. The centre, developed by Shri Siddhivinayak Sewa Foundation, was inaugurated by RSS Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Smt. Sarita Gangadharrao Fadnavis, and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Several prominent dignitaries attended the event, including Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Minister of State Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar, Minister of State Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, MP Maya Ivnate, and MLA Sandip Joshi, along with other public representatives and officials.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis highlighted that the diagnostic centre is equipped with modern medical technology and aims to provide quality healthcare services at affordable rates. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to ensuring accessible and cost-effective healthcare, with efforts to make treatments either affordable or free for citizens.
The Chief Minister also appreciated the efforts of MLA Sandip Joshi and his team for establishing the centre in a short span of time. He noted that naming the centre after the late Gangadharrao Fadnavis reflects the values of public service and social commitment, which continue to inspire.
The facility is expected to benefit not only residents of Nagpur but also people from nearby areas, enhancing access to timely and reliable diagnostic services. CM Fadnavis expressed confidence that the centre will expand further in the future, with full support from the government.
The inauguration marks a significant development in Nagpur’s healthcare landscape, promising improved medical access for the common citizens.
