To manage the rising influx of tourists and limited entry capacity at Tipeshwar Wildlife Sanctuary, the Pandharkawada forest division has developed a new jungle safari route. A 37-km tourism circuit has been created in the Jamb-Inzala forest area under the Parwa and Ghatanji ranges, offering visitors an additional safari option.
Until now, restricted vehicle permits often meant that many tourists had to return without experiencing a safari. In view of the growing demand, authorities have decided to open a new safari gate at Jamb (Heti).
To enhance visitor convenience, six artificial water sources have been developed along the route. The Jamb (Heti) gate is equipped with a ticket counter, restrooms and refreshment facilities.
Safari operations will be conducted daily from 6 am to 10 am and 2 pm to 6 pm, and will remain closed every Thursday.
The project will be managed by the Jamb Joint Forest Management Committee and is expected to generate employment for around 50 local youths from Jamb (Heti) and Mathani as jeep drivers, vehicle owners and guides.
