Nagpur District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar has assured that there is an ample supply of petrol, diesel, LPG, and other essential fuels across the district, and the situation remains completely under control.
He appealed to citizens not to fall prey to rumours and to purchase fuel only as per their actual requirements.
He stated that the fuel supply is being closely monitored by the administration, while Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule are regularly reviewing the situation at the highest level. “There is no need for panic, and citizens should not be misled by any false information,” he emphasized.
Dr. Itankar further clarified that both the Central and State governments have already issued clear communication regarding the availability of fuel and essential energy resources. To ensure smooth management, the state government has issued necessary directives, following which a district-level committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Collector to monitor the situation regularly.
Reiterating his appeal, the Collector urged people to remain calm and avoid panic buying, stating that there is no shortage in the district. He also warned that strict action will be taken, with police assistance, against those spreading misinformation or creating obstacles in essential services.
