Nagpur will host the prestigious 69th All India Police Duty Meet (AIPDM) 2025–26 from March 29 to April 3, 2026, bringing together police forces from across the country for a week-long showcase of professional skill, discipline and technological excellence.
The All India Police Duty Meet is a national-level annual competition aimed at enhancing investigative standards, promoting coordination among police organisations, and encouraging the adoption of modern techniques and technology in policing. The previous, 68th edition of the event was conducted in Ranchi, Jharkhand. For 2025–26, Maharashtra has been selected as the host state, with Nagpur chosen as the venue.
Inauguration on March 29
The meet will be inaugurated on March 29, 2026, at 5 pm at Shivaji Stadium, Police Headquarters, Nagpur. Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, will preside over the opening ceremony. Several senior police officers from various states and central agencies are expected to attend the inaugural function.
Six Competitive Disciplines
The competition will be conducted in six major categories:
• Computer Awareness
• Police Dog Competition
• Police Videography
• Anti-Sabotage Check
• Scientific Aid to Investigation
• Police Photography
Events will include both written examinations and practical demonstrations, testing participants on investigative proficiency, technical knowledge, and field expertise.
The venues for the competitions have been finalised as follows:
• Computer Awareness at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Gittikhadan
• Police Dog Competition at State Reserve Police Force Group No. 4
• Police Videography, Anti-Sabotage Check, Scientific Aid to Investigation and Police Photography at Police Training Centre Bajaj Nagar
Participation from 29 Teams Nationwide
A total of 29 teams representing various states, Union Territories and central police organisations will compete in the meet. The event will witness the participation of 1,327 police officers and personnel, along with 144 trained police dogs.
Comprehensive arrangements have been made for accommodation and meals at designated locations across Nagpur. Cultural programmes have been planned to engage participants, while medical facilities will be available at all venues. A traditional “Bada Khana” and cultural evening for senior officers and participants is scheduled for April 2 at the Police Training Centre in Nagpur.
Extensive Security and Logistics
To ensure smooth transportation, 330 police vehicles with drivers have been deployed from different districts of Maharashtra. Adequate security arrangements have been put in place to facilitate the seamless conduct of the event.
Special committees under the supervision of senior officials have been constituted to oversee planning and execution. Evaluation of events will be carried out by subject experts and experienced judges invited from different states to ensure transparency and professionalism.
Organising Committee
The organising committee is headed by Sadanand Date, Director General of Police, Maharashtra, as Chairman. Sunil Ramanand serves as Organising Secretary.
Other senior officials on the committee include Madhukar Pandey, Dr Ravinder Kumar Singal, Rajkumar Vatkar, Deepak Pandey, Dr Rajendra Dahale, Sandeep Patil, Abhishek Trimukhe, Sudhir Hiremath, Navinchandra Reddy and Nisar Tamboli, among others.
Valedictory Function on April 3
The closing ceremony will take place on April 3, 2026, at 5 pm at Shivaji Stadium, Police Headquarters, Nagpur. Nityanand Rai, Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India, will grace the occasion.
During the valedictory function, General Championship trophies along with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the best-performing teams and individual participants.
With large-scale participation and a focus on modern investigative practices, the 69th All India Police Duty Meet is expected to reinforce professional excellence and technological advancement within the country’s police forces.
