In a major breakthrough, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of Nagpur Crime Branch has traced a girl who went missing as a minor in 2019. The woman, now 24 years old, was found living with her husband and child.
The case was originally registered under MIDC Police Station after the 17-year-old girl went missing on July 10, 2019.
Police tracked her to Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh, where she was located and taken into custody. She revealed that she had eloped with Satyam Bobde and later married him. The couple has a one-year-old son.
Investigations revealed that the two met when the youth worked near her house, and their relationship developed over time. Police also stated that the girl was suffering from epilepsy and had left home due to personal distress.
After counseling, the woman and her child were handed over to MIDC police for further legal procedures.
