A trusted industry source has revealed that the film is expected to premiere on JioHotstar after IPL 2026 concludes, likely in the last week of May or the first week of June 2026.
JioHotstar emerged as the official digital platform for Dhurandhar 2 after an aggressive bidding process. The same insider told Filmibeat Chief Copy Editor Abhishek Ranjit that while Netflix had paid a hefty amount for the first film’s digital rights, the makers believed the sequel deserved a premium price due to its blockbuster potential. “JioHotstar was happy to pay a mind-boggling ₹120–150 crore to secure exclusive streaming rights for Dhurandhar 2,” the source added.
The insider also explained that the post-IPL release window aligns perfectly with JioHotstar’s programming strategy. On the film’s OTT release timing, they said, “Dhurandhar: The Revenge will premiere on JioHotstar after IPL 2026, either in the final week of May or the opening week of June, depending on the platform’s schedule.”
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy thriller stars Ranveer Singh in the lead, supported by an ensemble cast including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi.
