Amid heightened concern in the city following the murder of a minor boy in Gittikhadan, another worrying incident has emerged from Pratap Nagar, where two minor brothers have gone missing. Police have registered a case and launched a search operation. Initial reports suggest the boys may have left home after being upset over their mother’s scolding.
According to police, Aditya Amit Meshram (16) and Prathamesh Amit Meshram (12) left Somalwar School in Pratap Nagar on a bicycle around 10 am on Saturday and had not returned home by late evening.
Their mother, Vinita Amit Meshram (39), discovered their absence after returning from work and promptly informed the Pratap Nagar Police Station.
Preliminary findings indicate that the boys had been scolded earlier for not focusing on their studies, after which they left and did not return. Senior Police Inspector Pankaj Bondse stated that a search team has been deployed. He added that, based on initial inquiries, the elder brother had taken the younger one along on a bicycle, and it is possible they may have gone to a relative’s house.
