In a major breakthrough in the Atharv Nanore murder case, Nagpur Police have detained three suspects, including the victim’s neighbour, during a joint operation by Gittikhadan Police and the Crime Branch.Sources said the accused, all aged between 20 and 22, were identified through technical analysis and local intelligence inputs.
They are currently in custody and being questioned.Atharv Nanore, a 14-year-old boy, went missing during a procession in the Gittikhadan area. What began as a search operation later turned into a murder probe after his body was discovered in the Kalmeshwar area with injury marks.
Preliminary information suggests that one of the accused lived in the same neighbourhood as Atharv, while the other two allegedly assisted in the crime. Police are now working to determine the motive and reconstruct the sequence of events.
