Tension gripped after a suspicious bag containing gelatin sticks and 58 detonators was found near Dosar Bhavan. Taking the situation seriously, Ravinder Singal rushed to the spot and is personally overseeing the developments.
According to initial reports, the bag was discovered in the courtyard of Ujjwal Lanjewar, said to be a former director of G.S. College. Following the recovery, Nagpur Police quickly sealed off the area as a precaution.
The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad was deployed to examine the materials, while a heavy police presence was established in and around the locality. Authorities urged residents to stay away from the spot and avoid panic.
Preliminary investigations are underway to determine whether the materials were meant for legitimate purposes such as construction or industrial use, or if there is a larger sabotage angle. With CP Singal present at the scene, the probe is being fast-tracked, and more official details are expected soon.
Meanwhile, a senior police official clarified that no bomb has been found at the site and appealed to citizens not to spread or believe unverified rumours.
The incident caused brief anxiety in the area, but police have urged the public to remain calm, stay alert, and rely only on official information.
