Passengers should brace for major disruptions in train services for nearly three weeks in April due to infras-tructure work. The Central Railway has announced a traffic block to facilitate the dismantling of the washable apron and its conversion into a ballasted track on Platform No 3 under the Nagpur Divi-sion of the SECR.
The work is expected to improve track durability and operational efficiency, but will temporarily impact several long-distance and passenger trains.
As a result, around 14trains will remain cancelled for periods ranging from 21 to 24 days between April 2 and April 27, 2026. Key affected services include the Shalimar–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express, the Korba–Amritsar Express, the Hazrat Nizamud-din–Raigarh Express, the Vi-sakhapatnam–Hazrat Niza-muddin Express, and MEMU passenger services between Ballarshah and Gondia.
