On April 13, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) Enforcement Wing carried out a major drive against illegal encroachments across key parts of the city to clear footpaths and improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety.
In Dharampeth Zone No. 02, teams cleared illegal stalls and shops along the stretch from the zonal office to Sitabuldi Main Road and Variety Square.
In Laxmi Nagar Zone No. 01, officials removed 8 to 10 unauthorised sheds at Khamla Mutton Market and cleared illegal vending materials from nearby roads.In Gandhibagh Zone No. 06, teams took action around Badkas Chowk, Mahal Chowk and the Gadkari Wada area, removing encroachments.
The drive was conducted under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner (Enforcement) Mangesh Khawale, along with Assistant Commissioners Sanjay Kamble and Dhananjay Jadhav. The team, supported by engineers and staff, also seized materials and vending carts blocking public spaces.
