The Ministry of Railways has approved the provision of an experimental halt at Wardha station for Train No. 12290/12289 Nagpur–Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai–Nagpur Duronto Express, enhancing connectivity for passengers in the region.
Marking a significant milestone, the inaugural stoppage of the Duronto Express at Wardha station was ceremonially flagged off on 15th April 2026 by Hon’ble Guardian Minister Dr. Pankaj Bhoyar. On this occasion, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Wardha) Shri Amar Kale was present, along with former Minister of State for Railways Shri Raosaheb Danve, former Member of Parliament Shri Ramdas Tadas, railway officials, and local representatives.
As per the revised schedule, Train No. 12290 Nagpur–CSMT Duronto Express will depart from Nagpur at 19:50 hrs, arrive at Wardha at 20:44 hrs, and depart at 20:45 hrs, effective from 15th April 2026. Similarly, Train No. 12289 CSMT–Nagpur Duronto Express will arrive at Wardha at 06:57 hrs and depart at 06:58 hrs, effective from 16th April 2026.
The introduction of this experimental halt is expected to provide improved travel convenience and better connectivity for passengers from Wardha and nearby areas to both Nagpur and Mumbai.
Passengers are requested to take note of the revised timings and make use of this newly introduced stoppage facility.
