Nagpur recorded a temperature of the season at 43.2°C on Thursday, as extreme summer heat continues across the region.
Akola and Amravati both recorded 44.2°C , Wardha recorded 44.0°C, and Gondia with 41.9°C.
Due to the intense heat, roads remained largely deserted during the afternoon, with many residents choosing to stay indoors. Those who had to step out were seen drinking juices and searching for shade.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heatwave conditions are expected to continue across Vidarbha over the next few days, with temperatures likely to rise by another 1–2°C.
