Police paraded Mohammad Ayan through the streets of twin cities Paratwada-Achalpur in Amravati district on Wednesday. Ayan was arrested for sexually exploiting young women and making their videos viral on social media. Ayan was presented before the court which extended his police custody for seven days. The court, however, directed the investigating officer(s) to collect adequate evidence against the accused for further action. The police custody was extended for collecting evidence against the accused.
The digital evidence, mobile data and related information are being analysed to offer definite direction to the investigation.
Police are also investigating the links for funding and kingpin behind the illegal and immoral activities. The bank transactions and suspicious funding is also being verified.
Many onlookers welcomed Ayan’s parade through streets, some others called it illegal and unnecessary.
