In a commendable act of alertness and social responsibility, the Railway Head Ticket Examiner at Nagpur station ensured the safety and well-being of a minor child who had reportedly run away from home.
A child named Kushal, a resident of Vidisha, was found at Nagpur railway station after alighting from train number 12616. Preliminary interaction revealed that the child had left home due to distress caused by his mother’s beatings.
The child was noticed by Shri Vivek Vyavahare, Head Ticket Examiner (TE), while he was performing crowd management duty at Platform No. 3. Demonstrating keen observation and prompt action, Shri Vyavahare identified the child as being in distress and immediately intervened.
The child was provided with food and water, and efforts were made to gather information about his family. As the child did not possess any contact details or mobile numbers of family members, he was safely handed over to the Child Helpline authorities for further care and necessary action.
