To ensure smooth distribution of domestic LPG cylinders, District Collector Kumar Ashirwad has directed that e-KYC services be provided free of cost at all Setu Suvidha Kendras across the district.
The move aims to reduce delays caused by incomplete customer verification.During a review meeting with gas agencies and company officials, the Collector stressed that registered consumers must receive doorstep delivery within the stipulated time.
He noted that disruptions have occurred due to pending e-KYC, as OTP-based verification is now mandatory under new government rules.To improve access, authorities have doubled the supply of 5-kg LPG cylinders for migrant workers. Officials clarified that these cylinders are meant only for migrant labourers, and strict monitoring has been ordered.
The administration has also asked gas companies to increase buffer stock and improve supply efficiency amid rising demand and technical issues. Measures like cash-and-carry counters have been suggested to ensure faster access for consumers.
District Supply Officer Vinod Kale and representatives of major gas companies were present at the meeting. The Collector directed strict implementation of all measures to maintain transparency and efficiency in LPG distribution.
