Aamir Khan has confirmed that filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is working on a sequel to the 2009 blockbuster 3 Idiots, bringing back the iconic characters Rancho, Farhan, and Raju years after the original story. Aamir revealed that the script is currently being refined and described it as entertaining and full of humour. He also shared his excitement about possibly returning as Phunsukh Wangdu, raising fans’ expectations for the sequel.
The original film received immense appreciation for its strong message on education, friendship, and pursuing one’s passion. Apart from the sequel buzz, Aamir has temporarily put other projects, including a Dadasaheb Phalke biopic, on hold while concentrating on select ventures.
