Central Railway has decided to convert Train No. 12136/12135 Nagpur–Pune Express to LHB coaches in order to enhance passenger comfort and improve the overall travel experience.
As per Railway Board directives, Train No. 12136/12135 Nagpur–Pune Express will be permanently converted from the existing ICF rake to a modern LHB rake. This transition is expected to provide improved safety, better riding comfort, and upgraded passenger amenities.
The revised composition will consist of a total of 20 LHB coaches, including 2 Guard-cum-Luggage Vans, 4 General Second Class coaches, 6 Sleeper Class coaches, 6 AC 3-tier coaches, and 2 AC 2-tier coaches.
The change will come into effect from July 1, 2026, for Train No. 12136 Nagpur–Pune Express departing from Nagpur, and from July 2, 2026, for Train No. 12135 Pune–Nagpur Express departing from Pune.
The introduction of LHB coaches is expected to significantly enhance speed, safety, and passenger comfort on this route.
