The Amravati division has recorded an overall pass percentage of 90.92% in the Class 12 Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. The results were announced on Saturday afternoon.
The division secured the third position in the state this year. Among the districts, Buldhana topped with a pass percentage of 95.22%, followed by Washim (91.15%), Akola (90.14%), Yavatmal (89.69%), while Amravati district recorded the lowest at 88.26%.Last year, the division had achieved a pass percentage of 91.43%, marking a slight decline of around 0.5 percentage points this year.Out of 1,48,931 students who registered for the examination, 1,47,754 appeared, and 1,34,352 successfully passed, resulting in the overall pass percentage of 90.92%.
Despite the marginal dip, the division improved its state ranking from sixth to third.Statewide, 14,44,713 students had registered for the HSC examination, of whom 14,33,058 appeared and 12,86,843 passed, according to board officials.
