The Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) has initiated the final land purchase process for the Naveen Nagpur project in Mauja Goshani (Reti) and Ladgaon (Reti) villages of Hingna taluka. So far, 19 acres have been fully purchased, while ₹30 crore in compensation has been distributed to approximately 430 farmers via mobile transfer.
The project covers around 1,480 acres across the two villages and is being developed as an International Business and Finance Centre under the ₹11,500-crore Naveen Nagpur scheme. NBCC (India) Limited has been appointed as project consultant. Farmers in both villages had earlier submitted consent letters, following which joint measurement record surveys were conducted in the presence of revenue officials, NMRDA engineers, and landowners.
NMRDA officials said the purchase process is in its final stages, with the remaining landowners also expected to complete transactions shortly.
