Passengers planning train travel in June ,particularly those heading to or from Maharashtra, Gujarat, and West Bengal — face major disruption as South East Central Railway cancels 65 express and 12 passenger trains for maintenance work at Bilaspur’s fourth line development, with six trains also having their routes changed.
The cancellations affect several key trains passing through Nagpur, including:
• Howrah–Pune Duronto (22222) / Pune–Howrah Duronto (22221): June 11 and 15 via Raipur–Titlagarh route
• CSMT–Puri / Howrah–CSMT: June 11 and 13, diverted via Durg–Titlagarh
• NLT–Shalimarjaneshwari Express (20000/10002): June 15 and 18 via Raipur–Titlagarh
• Mahamanavad–Howrah Express (22333/22334): June 11 and 15
• Pata–NLT Express (22340): June 30
• NLT–Pata Express (22369): June 30
• Tatanagar–Hatanagar Express (18009/18010): June 8 and 19
The railway has also changed routes of major trains including Howrah–Pune Duronto and CSMT Duronto via Raipur–Titlagarh and NLT–Shalimarjaneshwari via Raipur–Titlagarh. Third and fourth line development at Bilaspur station is causing the disruption, with live status updates unavailable mid-journey.
Passengers are advised to check PNR status and train running status on the NTES app before departure.
