Dark clouds covered the sky before showers lashed many areas of the city, leading to a noticeable drop in temperature. Residents welcomed the brief respite from the scorching summer weather, while the rainfall also added to the anticipation of the upcoming monsoon season in Vidarbha. Weather officials had earlier predicted pre-monsoon thunderstorm activity in the region.
