Fourteen athletes from various sporting disciplines have been selected for the prestigious Khasdar Krida Bhushan Awards under the eighth edition of the Khasdar Krida Mahotsav (KKM), an initiative conceptualised by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
The awards are presented annually to recognise and encourage sportspersons, coaches, organisers, and promoters who have made notable contributions to sports.
This year’s Khasdar Krida Bhushan awardees are Karmanya Chilkulwar (volleyball), Anjali Madavi (athletics), Siddhesh Satpute (kho-kho), Urvashi Saneshwar (softball), Harpreet Singh Randhawa (handball), Mangala Dhabale (kabaddi), Aditya Dhane (skating), Shraddha Bajaj (chess), Nandita Sahu (wrestling), Nishika Gokhe (badminton), Bharat Delikar (yogasana), Gunjan Mantri (basketball), Avani Rathod (gymnastics), and Aditi Payasi (swimming).
Each awardee will receive a memento and a cash prize of ₹25,000 during the felicitation ceremony.
In other categories, Vijay Dangre has been selected as Best Organiser, Ravindra Tong as Best Coach, and Umesh Naidu as Best Sports Promoter. Young Muslim Football Club has been named the Best Sports Club.
Award winners in these categories will receive cash prizes of ₹51,000 each, while the Best Sports Club will be awarded ₹1 lakh.
The Khasdar Krida Mahotsav has emerged as one of the region’s prominent sporting initiatives, recognising excellence and encouraging participation across a wide range of sports disciplines.
