The Anti-Human Trafficking Squad (AHTS) of the Nagpur Rural Police raided a guest house in Aakash Nagar on Friday and uncovered an alleged sex trafficking racket operating from the premises.
During the operation, police rescued a woman and arrested two persons in connection with the case.
The accused have been identified as Jitendra Govind Kolhe (37), the owner of the guest house and a resident of Aakash Nagar, and Ajay Nandkishor Dohariya (29), the manager of the establishment and a resident of Seoni in Madhya Pradesh.
According to police, the action was initiated after the Anti-Human Trafficking Squad received specific information that Kolhe, allegedly with the assistance of the manager, was operating a sex trade racket from the guest house through a woman. Acting on the tip-off, the squad conducted a raid and took the accused into custody.
Further investigation is underway.
