Eight adventurous youngsters from Nagpur successfully completed the challenging Bhrigu Lake Trek as part of the CAC Allrounders Himalayan Camp 2026, adding another achievement to the organization’s Himalayan adventure initiatives.
The trek, conducted in the picturesque mountains of Himachal Pradesh, took participants to an altitude of approximately 14,100 feet. The team comprised Shrirang Mahajan, Parth Jhavar, Aarav Mohta, Chirag Agrawal, Rachit Borade, Pari Sohoni, Shreya Salphale, and Anchal Lohia, all aged between 16 and 17 years.Organized under the guidance of CAC Allrounders Director Amol Khante, the expedition was held from May 23 to June 2. The trek began from Camp Apple Farm, with participants covering the challenging route from Kulang to Moridugh, where they halted for the night. The following day, the team proceeded towards the iconic Bhrigu Lake.
Traversing dense pine and cedar forests, lush green meadows, and snow-clad mountain ranges, the young trekkers successfully reached the frozen and breathtaking Bhrigu Lake situated at an elevation of around 14,100 feet.
Several participants were experiencing a Himalayan trek for the first time. They described the expedition as much more than a mountaineering challenge, saying it significantly boosted their confidence while teaching them valuable lessons in teamwork, discipline, and connecting with nature.
The successful execution of the trek was made possible through the dedicated efforts and guidance of experienced trek leaders Shirish Deshmukh and Suraj Gajbhiye, who accompanied and mentored the team throughout the expedition.
