Residents of Chikhali Basti near Devsthan School in Kalamna have been facing severe drinking water and road infrastructure issues for more than two decades.
Despite repeated representations and memorandums submitted to the concerned authorities over the years, no concrete action has been taken to resolve these long-pending civic problems.
The lack of proper roads and persistent water-related issues continue to affect the daily lives of local residents. During the monsoon season, the situation worsens significantly, causing inconvenience, health concerns, and difficulties in mobility. Citizens have expressed frustration over the prolonged neglect of basic civic amenities in the area and have urged the authorities to take immediate steps to address these longstanding issues.
Local residents allege that several requests and follow-up representations have been submitted to various government departments and public representatives, but the issues remain unresolved.
They have demanded a permanent solution to the water problem and the construction of all-weather roads in the locality, stating that access to basic infrastructure is a fundamental requirement and should not be denied to any community for such an extended period.
