The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has notified affiliated schools that the Sports Portal for the 2026-27 session will be made operational shortly, with detailed instructions on registration and participation in the CBSE Games to follow.
In a circular issued on June 15, the board said information regarding the final dates for student registration and submission of participation requests will be shared separately after the portal is activated.
CBSE has also announced that schools and students will not be required to pay any late fee for registration or participation in the CBSE Games during the 2026-27 session.
Until further notice, affiliated schools have been asked to refrain from initiating the registration process and wait for official communication from the board.
The board further informed that the competition schedule is being reviewed and a revised CBSE Sports Calendar will be uploaded on the Sports Portal once finalised.
The latest communication is part of a series of notifications issued by CBSE in April, May and June concerning preparations for the upcoming sports season.
The circular, signed by Dr Praggya M Singh, Professor and Director (Academics), CBSE, advised all stakeholders to await further updates regarding the portal launch, registration deadlines and the revised schedule of sporting events.
